In getting fed up with how my Scott’s spreader was performing and either having to over-fill it or Bunny hop it around to get the remaining fertilizer out, I went in search of a better way. I came across Rusty Inspirations’ Youtube video and not having any spare plastic around to cut, figured I would design up some 3D printed plates to modify mine.

Will be doing a production run for anyone interested, depending on how many orders come in, lead time may be anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks as I can only produce a couple of sets per day.

A couple of tips for installation:

• Loctite (thread locker) the lower two bolts so they don’t come undone in the future where you wont be able to access them to tighten.
• Give the inside of the unit a good clean prior to installation
• The curved triangular piece is for the front
• It is helpful to use something prior to silicone to help hold the mod plates in place while being siliconed. I used a few dabs of hot glue, alternatively super glue, double sided tape or blue-tac might also work.
• After you’re finished, the final product doesn’t look super pretty but it will operate like it should!
